About AIHR

Founded in 2016 with the mission to future-proof HR, the Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR) has become the world’s market leader in online training for human resources professionals. We have a global customer base spread across 140+ countries, amongst which companies like Unilever, Reckitt, Goldman Sachs, Philips, Deloitte, Nike, Heineken, and UBS. It is our goal to continuously educate 100,000 HR Professionals.

We are an international team of 80+ people, driven by excellence, innovation, and a hunger to grow in everything we do. As such, we strive to provide the world’s best courses and excellent support to our customers while continuously optimizing every aspect of our work. With over 35 nationalities, our team is international, yet we all share a few traits: we're friendly, enthusiastic, and great team players.

Being a fast-growing company, working at AIHR means taking on a lot of responsibility while getting countless opportunities to develop yourself in new areas and craft your role.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will join our People Team, and, together with Moritz (Junior Recruiter), Bora (Talent Acquisition Specialist), and Duska (Team Lead Talent Acquisition), you play a key role in making AIHR's ambitious growth plans possible. Currently, we recruit for 8 different teams across the business. In the coming months, we expect the most significant growth in our commercial teams - Marketing and Sales.

You will have the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of the recruitment cycle for a variety of different roles. This includes helping the hiring manager open the role, sourcing candidates (locally and internationally), and preparing an offer they will be thrilled to accept. All the while, you’re making sure that candidates have a fantastic experience and walk away as raving fans of AIHR, even if the role is not the one for them right now.

You will work closely with both experienced and first-time hiring managers. Your role is to ensure a smooth and fair recruitment process that results in exceptional hires who will thrive in our organization. To achieve this, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues in the People team. As we grow, we will constantly optimize our processes to improve how we hire new people and practice what we preach as the Academy to Innovate HR. This is where your experience and creative ideas to find more innovative ways of working will be crucial.

On a typical week…

You start your Monday by settling in with a cup of your favorite morning beverage. You have a bird's-eye view from the 15th floor of our office. You check your email for new messages and prepare the day around the calls and virtual meetings your candidates have booked. Today will be an exciting one as you will talk to some very promising candidates for the Performance Marketeer role. It is a crucial vacancy for our marketing department, which will drive our B2C growth.

The first meeting of the week is a team standup. Here, you’ll update your colleagues about your key focus, goals for the week, and the challenges you are facing. You suggested improving the number of female applications we receive on our career page by implementing a diversity statement you heard about in a hiring podcast last week.

Time to open your ATS, Homerun, to review new applicants and go through your emails and tasks for the day. You check in with active candidates you need to schedule interviews for and follow up with others whose feedback hasn’t come through yet.

Before you know it, it’s time for lunch and a moment to enjoy freshly prepared food by our office chef, Rik. Today, the menu is Indonesian-inspired. After discussing your weekend activities with your colleagues, you return to the People team office.

Tuesday and Wednesday you work from home to focus on some administrative tasks, phone screenings, and getting feedback from hiring managers on their interviews. Unfortunately, one of the candidates was not the right fit for the role, and you need to reject them. You know the candidate will be disappointed, but at the same time, they are a perfect fit in terms of organizational values, so you want to make sure you leave the door open for the next roles on the team. You invite them to check in a couple of months from now to see if there are better opportunities.

Thursday you're back in the office to open up a new role for an Email Marketeer. You meet with Luca, Head of Growth Marketing, to discuss the requirements, write a d@mn good job vacancy, and post the role online. The first applications come in within hours of posting the job. You decide to grab a coffee with one of the new starters while you’re in the office and check how things are going for them.

On Friday, you meet with the Talent Acquisition team to discuss your significant progress this week and review the hiring plan for the rest of the year. You update your planning on the team's Miro board and make a to-do list for next week. After a productive and busy week, you’re happy to close your laptop and join your team for some drinks. Although we all work hard to make the company grow, we like to relax and enjoy our joint success.

About you

You are exceptionally structured and proactive in your approach to Recruitment. You dive deeper to understand what your hiring manager really needs and challenge them on the not-so-necessary stuff.
